Put your garden to good use

I, like many women my age, enjoy many hours of my afternoons in the fragrant bliss of my gardens.  Besides my rose garden, with its small bench, my herb garden contributes to the fragrance of many an afternoon outside and inside my kitchen.  I created my herb garden years ago when I realized that home-grown herbs are so much more delicious and potent than any bought at the store.  Mint, rosemary, thyme, and so many others crowd around the base of my kitchen window.  So, imagine my delight when a friend gifted me this book, The Most Powerful and Efficient Medicinal Plants, by Health Publishing Company!  Beyond the obvious herbal teas that we grow up with, I had never experimented in using my herbs for medicinal reasons.  This book is a wonder!

A variety of uses and subjects

Mint has taken on a whole new job description beyond a roasted leg of lamb.  Did you know if can relieve indigestion after you indulge a bit too much the night before?  There are a variety of uses and remedies to be found in the typical herb garden, although, I have to admit that my planted selection has multiplied after reading through this book.  Even if you aren’t interested in home gardening, the local store has a majority of those called for in the book.  I should also add that, as it states in the title, this book by the Health Publishing Company extends past garden herbs and includes plants as well.  And the remedies are not just for aches and pains, but are also useful for more serious afflictions.

Something for everyone

Whether you are looking for more natural remedies or to save money instead of buying pharmaceutical solutions, this book is a wealth of information at your fingertips.  Even if you aren’t looking for a specific remedy, the information in these pages is good to add to your general understanding of self-care.  I would suggest this to every one of every age, whether you are an avid gardener like me, or more reliant on the grocery.  This book has it all. Highly recommended!

Nature’s own remedies represented

After spending years trying different medicines and remedies prescribed by different doctors and specialists I, like my mother as well, have found myself turning more and more to natural remedies. After reading this book, “The Secrets of Traditional Medicine,” by The Health Publishing Company, I felt a burst of creativity and confidence in finding healthy and more natural solutions to my common aches and pains as well as my more persistent problems. The book presented a wealth of information that was easy to digest as well as understand and so many easy solutions to the most common of problems.

Heal yourself from your cupboard

The various remedies in the book range from seasonal colds and allergies, to physical ailments and reoccurring problems.  I could find remedies for my basic and reoccurring colds, muscle pains, and headaches.  It’s absolutely amazing to learn how easy it is to cure some of the most irritating health problems.  Most of the ingredients are already in the cupboard!  In this age of chemicals and increasingly man-made substances, I love any opportunity to use some of nature’s own remedies. After all, we were using these remedies long before we had drugs, the names of which we can’t even pronounce.  Knowing the purposes of honey, eucalyptus oil, herbs, and even the many benefits of massage are useful for people of any age, physical status, and mindset.  We read about how important natural remedies are for our health, and how many homeopathic doctors recommend more natural remedies.  With this book by The Health Publishing Company, now I can start using all of these suggestions.

The perfect holistic addition

With the remedies for various symptoms, afflictions, and issues spelled out so clearly, it is hard to not read through once or twice. I myself must have read it four times already. Thanks to The Health Publishing Company, there is so much information that is so easily applicable to daily life that it is hard to not wonder why you should buy a vial of chemical based cough syrup at the pharmacy when nature has provided you with a better alternative.  I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. This book will be a valuable tool to add to my healthier living library!
